Course Description:

How do you know when a new system or a major enhancement to an existing system is ready to launch? Does it work the way you expect it to work? Are your users going to know how to use it?

This workshop will demonstrate how a business validates that a major system change will work before it is placed into production. UAT is the final business validation of a system change and is performed by - as the name suggests - the true users of the system. UAT is the final chance to ensure that the system does not adversely affect your business. Only in this testing phase do you truly know if your system satisfies your business requirements.

Target Audience and Duration:

This full-day class teaches a unique and proven approach to the planners, managers and users who will conduct and evaluate user acceptance testing in your organization. Students need not have had formal testing training or previous testing experience.

Understand what UAT is and is not
Know how to choose a superset of tests
Know how to plan for the UAT
Know how to create and execute test cases
Know how to evaluate the test results

The class will use the Client's real business examples, where possible, and retrofit the material into your current development processes.
